Today as I and my sister were playing badminton a dark grey cloud floated in the air and was above us. IT’S GOING TO RAIN!!!!! We were overjoyed for it had been ages since we saw a grey cloud. So we backed home expecting it to rain any moment. To my surprise I saw the sun slowly peeking out through a chink between the clouds and slowly slowly shadows began to be visible. (Though the sun is not out of those Grey clouds but is in a little gape between.)
OH NO! It’s not going to rain! I expected to make paper boats and hoped to see the puddles fill up again. My sis said that if there is some luck it may rain. Saying this we went back to play badminton but on the way back we saw all the shadows disappearing. The clouds had covered the sun again. We were in great confusion what to do. Alas we decided that we will wait a little and see who wins? As minutes passed by the condition had no change at all. So we left home. Reaching home our eyes met with the sun shining brightly without even a cloud covering it. After all the sun had won breaking all my expectations!

Those cloudy days can be quite beautiful when we don't know exactly what the weather will do. I enjoyed reading your post.
What an amazing picture. Weather can be so unpredictable.. even with all the computer technology we still can't seem to forecast it. I think it's beyond our grasp for the most part.
A cyclone threatened us this week, bringing heavy rain and wild winds. I chose a moment in between the worst of it to gaze at the crazy sea from a cliff top.
I took three pictures and noticed what looked like a storm coming - way out to sea. I turned and ran as fast as I could to the car 50m away. I was ringing wet by the time I got the door open ...
Shame we can't share ...
June in Oz
I wish I could send you some rain. We are having several days of it. Great picture!
So sorry you didn't get that much needed rain. We've been having some cloudy afternoon here today. It's warm enough if it should rain, it will be rain. Several days ago it would have been snow, it was so cold out side. Hope you're having a grea week-end.
Rainy days are my favorite! Great picture also!
Gee Susan---I can give you RAIN.. We had it (along with our ice) all week. When we left Arkansas, the rains followed us all the way home.
That is a beautiful picture of the clouds... Guess you and your sis will have to wait to see who wins your game!!!!
Have a great week.
Hugs,
Betsy
