Mushy Roof ….

I had made a small square garden at the backyard of my house a little long ago.
I had never taken the pain of looking them ever since I had made it.
Today I felt very bored at home so I thought of throwing a glance at
my garden. I was a bit curious to know whether my garden still survived with at least
one little plant .But nothing did ,I understood as I approached . My square
patch was not even visible as it was crowed with grasses of all kinds.
Then suddenly my eyes stuck at something white between the greeny weeds.
Yo !! it was two mushrooms.
I am really fond of mushrooms because they are very soft.
And moreover they were not ordinary found ones in our place. It had a different texture and fairly large.
Can’t you see some brown spots on top of it. Doesn’t it look like some Oats sprinkled on top ?

I went on exploring it by plucking one off.
Then I turned it upside down to see the texture beneath.

Doesn’t it look like many soft flaps arranged together in a circular manner.
Really fascinating of what they look like.
Truly it looks like a mush room which would be very cozy to live in ….

How pretty!! Just be careful in case you decide to eat it. I hear sometimes that they could be harmful.

I hope you're having a great weekend so far!

It looks like what we call a toad stool, we don't eat this kind around here.

Toad Stool Common name for an inedible or poisonous agaric (contrasting with the edible mushroom)

Wish I knew enough to hunt them for food but I am stuck with just enjoying them visually.
Thanks so much for stopping by and for the kind comment.
I will be back.

Hi Susan:)

Surprises never cease. When you least expect it, you get a lovely surprise.

The mush room looks like a Japanese umbrella. It will be very cozy to live under it.

The photo of mush room looks like a vanilla ice cream with chocolate pieces on it.Delicious:)

I see mushrooms very rarely and I understand mushroom grows with the initial rains.

Have a lovely day Susan:)

Hi Susan, You have some gorgeous mushrooms there --and you got some great photos. Mushrooms grow all over the place here also--especially during rainy seasons.

Hugs,
Betsy

When you click on that second picture, it does look fascinating.

Btw, I don't know about you, but I'm craving some chicken marsala right now! :)

Hi,
That mushroom would be fun to live in if it was much much bigger! Thanks for visiting and your lovely comments!

I think that mushrooms are pretty in the wild. However, I can't stand to eat them.

Great pictures! I've noticed mushrooms growing in yards around here lately. It's unusual because it's so dry here.

I think mushrooms are really neat. I don't like the stink horn ones but the others are interesting. Those are the toad stool variety. Not good for eating but fascinating to look at and photograph.
