Patience to CREATI V ITY !!

Last Sunday I got some free time. So I thought to complete my stitching work which I had started long before.
This one is the photo of my work I took as my stitching proceeded.

You should have a lot of patience to complete such a work which I lacked a bit.
But at the moment I finished it I was dipped in happiness, exactly at the time I crisscrossed the last stitch.
Finally my work came up like this.

But here I can’t say how much patients my Mom was, she had done a big stitch work just the one given below. It took her almost 3 years to complete it. Quite a long period!!!

All this shows me how patience can win over everything.

It's beautiful. I have a couple of daughters that cross stitch. Myself, I don't care to do it. Makes my eyes hurt. Yes, anyone that does cross stitching has to have a lot of patience.

A lot of patience and talent. I have some things that my mother crocheted that are treasured.

I cannot take that road (Patients) to creativity because I am much too impatient. My artwork is quick and my crocheting is small nylon net scrubbies. I have to see results quickly. Your needlepoint is AWESOME!

Beautiful work. I envy your patience and talent. I tried it once but never finished. It made me appreciate all the more those who do finish.

Beautiful Susan... Isn't it neat to FINISH a project??? My friend 'stitches' beautiful things--but seldom finishes them before starting something else. I love seeing the FINISHED product.

You did a great job --and so did your Mom.
Hugs,
Betsy

Hi Susan:)

Greetings:)

I am completely fascinated by your work of art. Your stitch work looks like a marvelous painting by a great artist. Your mother's work is wonderful too. Both of you are great artists.

I agree with you patience and perseverance pays dividends.

Many thanks for sharing.

Have a nice day Susan:)

Ladies are simply amazing! Here in Pakistan our Moms do just the kind of work, but unfortunately despite their efforts the young generations (females) esp. in cities seem uninterested in appreciating the traditional arts perhaps because of the onslaught of modern industrial culture.
